| [Business Times] BIMB Holdings Bhd today said it did not receive any notification from Khazanah Nasional Bhd on the sale of the latter's stake in Bank Muamalat. BIMB said this in a statement in response to a query from Bursa Malaysia on an article entitled "Khazanah sounds out Bank Islam on Muamalat stake" in a local daily today. Parties interested in entering into any negotiations on a proposed acquisition or disposal licensed institution regulated by Bank Negara Malaysia would also have to seek the central bank's consent beforehand, BIMB said. |
